Our final port of call on the trail was one I was particularly looking forward to. I wasn't disappointed.
I've watched Niall Young's pictures take shape on his blog, but seeing them for real, at life-size was infinitely better. Niall was absolutely lovely, chatting about his work and dotting away, demonstrating the hyperpointillist technique. Surprisingly, he was the only artist that we saw on the trail who was working on anything.
He had lots of work on display, so it was hard to pick a favourite, but it was the surreal black and white 'Orbits' that I would have most liked to take home. He didn't have a print of that though, so we selected something rather more serene.
